![]() My proposal is to buff Ammy of the Damned effect against Zammy forces and demons: 50% chance to do 50% more damage. It would especially make sense if demons (who are associated with Zamorak) were weak to Saradomin Strike. Here's my PvM solution to make it stronger (without affecting PvPers): u/EdHicks, or Kelh, brought up a suggestion in the thread a year ago that, while he liked the idea, it wouldn't necessarily be the strongest upgrade for the spell. In terms of PvM, this would help make magic more relevant. With Staff of the Dead and Zammy flames, you only need 75 attack and 80 mage potted (for the charge). I don't think it would greatly affect PvP, as you need a whole Ahrim's set to achieve the desired max (requiring 70 def). The upgrade would make Ahrim's staff a much more relevant magic weapon and Barrows drop in the game. The 39 would make Sara Strike the highest of all god spells, but it's max wouldn't hit as consistently as Zammy Flames, given Ammy of the Damned is only 30% chance to do 30% more damage. With a full set of Ahrim's gear (requiring minimum levels of 70 attack, defense, and magic) and an Amulet of the Damned w/ charge spell, Saradomin Strike would have the potential to max 39 (Ammy of the Damned effect: Auto-Cast ancients and 30% chance to deal 30% more damage). With Ahrim's staff and Occult necklace, the charged max hit for Saradomin Strike would be 33. Zammy Flames is currently the strongest of the god spells, as a charged Zammy flames spell w/ Staff of the Dead and Occult necklace can max at 37. His second argument was that the spell wouldn't be overpowered. RS Wiki: "The battles that were fought were some of the most decisive Saradominist victories in the whole of the God Wars, and Drakan's losses were considerable." Given they were such strong warriors, Saradomin Strike seems like it should've been with Ahrim when the Barrows minigame was first released. Even though they ultimately died due to basically selling their souls for power, they still accomplished a ton for Saradomin's cause. Six brothers (now known as the Barrows Brothers) named Ahrim, Dharok, Verac, Karil, Guthan and Torag, led a crusade consisting of several thousand Saradominist forces." They fucked up Zamorak's army. Here's a quote from the RS Wiki: "The Morytania Campaign was an event in the late Third Age in the vampyre-controlled region of Morytania. This is true, but he didn't elaborate on the crucial role the Barrows Brothers played for Saradomin in the God Wars. u/BarrowsBOY noted in his post that Saradomin Strike would make sense for Ahrim to cast as the Barrow Brothers were Saradominst Warriors. By adding on to /u/BarrowsBOY's argument, I propose Jagex should re-poll the Saradomin Strike ability. Jagex put it to a vote, and it was 1.8% away from passing. His main arguments were that the upgrade would be viable because it coincided with RS lore and it would not be overpowered. Roughly a year ago a redditor by the name /u/BarrowsBOY (he credited the original concept to /u/Im_Aleex and /u/Toastking_Jr) proposed an idea: Ahrim's Staff should have the ability to auto-cast Saradomin Strike. ![]()
