Since your performance in Monster Hunter Rise has a lot to do with your gear, we’ve decided to take a look at the best weapon types to start out with - while highlighting specific weapons under each category. Many hunters acquire proficiency in multiple types, while others prefer to gain mastery in one. There are fourteen different Monter Hunter Rise weapons at the Hunter's disposal, each with their own unique characteristics and attacks. For those who own the expansionless version of Monster Hunter, these Weapons are unobtainable. Note that these Weapons can only be accessed by players that have purchased and installed the Sunbreak Expansion. Introduced with the release of the Sunbreak Expansion, Master Rank Weapons are a brand new and more powerful tier of Weaapons available to hunters to help them deal with the deadlier Monsters that can be found on the Sunbreak Expansion.
